Tamil Nadu Animal Welfare Board — Read all guidelines before applying

  1. Feeding and Medical Treatment for abandoned, sheltered, injured, stray and pet animals.
  2. Providing Ambulance to safeguard animals in distress.
  3. Providing Financial Assistance to SPCA/AWO/NGOs that requires new or additional infrastructure including construction of shelters in the name of "Vallalar Palluyir Kaapagangal".
  4. Animal Birth Control and Immunization Program for the stray and pet dogs/cats.
  5. To help NGOs support them to continue their care giving towards sick, injured, homeless and abandoned animals by aiding for food, Medicals, Infrastructure and ABC to help them with burdens.
  6. To encourage NGOs to do more good work related to housing rescuing animals.
  7. To educate NGOs in the future to focus on rescue rehab neuter release policy — with the large number of animals in Tamil Nadu, housing all animals can fill NGOs quickly, depriving space for truly deserving paraplegic and sick animals that need immediate help.
  8. To ensure that all NGOs or any house that shelters animals respects the five freedoms of Animals and treats them with utmost sensitivity, care and concern without violating any animal rights.
